Chromium Nitride
Chromium Nitride coating is a good coating for Plastic Injection moulding for mould release and corrosion resistant.
In the Integrated Circuit Plastic Moulding, Chromium Nitride is used for coating on Cavity Bar inserts dealing with Green Compound resin.
The only disadvantage of Chromium Nitride coating is it’s coating colour, being silver colour which is similar to the colour of steel, it is very difficult to differential whether the surface is being protected by the coating.
